Chased by drought and famine, Yacita and his people find an oasis in the desert and make it their new homestead. But the greed and ambition of a few people soon bring disaster and disappointment to man, Bayanga – the god of the desert, and the oasis.
In this tragicomedy play, the vulgar desires of man, the quiet purpose of a god and the legitimate expectations of nature are locked in mortal conflict.
Born 24th Sept. 1965, Kyuka Lilymjok hails from Bafai-Kanai. He is a professor of law and lectures at the Faculty of Law Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Other published novels of the author include: The Death of Eternity, My Letter to the Devil, The Deportee, and The Heart of Jacob.
